10वीं राष्ट्रीय चैसबॉक्सिंग एवं 20वीं डार्ट्स चैम्पियनशिप में पदक हासिल करने वाले जिले के खिलाड़ियों ने विगत दिनों जिला कलेक्टोरेट पहुंचकर कलेक्टर श्री राहुल देव से मुलाकात की और खेल प्रतियोगिता में अपनी उपलब्धियों के बारे में जानकारी दी। कलेक्टर ने खिलाड़ियों के उपलब्धियों की सराहना की और उन्हें अपनी बधाई एवं शुभकामनाएं दी। इस अवसर पर राजीव युवा मितान क्लब के जिला समन्वयक श्री दुर्गा बघेल मौजूद थे। टीम प्रभारी व कोच श्री सुबोध सिंह, युगल किशोर सिंह राजपूत और इतवारी कुर्रे ने बताया कि 10वीं राष्ट्रीय चैसबॉक्सिंग टूर्नामेंट का आयोजन 09 से 11 सितंबर तक अहमदाबाद गुजरात में और 20वीं डार्ट्स चैम्पियनशिप का आयोजन 15 से 18 सितम्बर तक गोवा में हुआ था। 10वीं राष्ट्रीय चैसबॉक्सिंग टूर्नामेंट में मुंगेली जिले के खिलाड़ियों ने छत्तीसगढ़ की टीम की ओर से प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए शानदार प्रदर्शन किया और प्रतियोगिता में 02 स्वर्ण पदक, 07 रजत पदक व 01 कांस्य पदक सहित कुल 10 पदक हासिल किए। वहीं 20वीं डार्ट्स चैम्पियनशिप स्पर्धा में छत्तीसगढ़ की टीम की ओर से मुंगेली जिले के 04 खिलाड़ियों ने भाग लिया, जिसमें बालिका यूथ वर्ग में सीमा निर्मलकर और शालिनी ध्रुव उपविजेता बनी। महिला सीनियर एकल वर्ग में शालिनी ध्रुव उपविजेता बनी।
10वीं राष्ट्रीय चैसबॉक्सिंग स्पर्धा में छत्तीसगढ़ से मुंगेली जिले के कैडेट बालक वर्ग 35 किलोग्राम में विद्यानन्द कश्यप ने रजत पदक, कैडेट बालिका वर्ग 35 किलोग्राम में आँचल यादव ने स्वर्ण पदक, सब जूनियर बालिका वर्ग 44 किलोग्राम में सवाना निषाद ने स्वर्ण पदक, निधि ध्रुव ने रजत पदक, यूथ बालक वर्ग 49 किलोग्राम में करण कुमार ने रजत पदक, यूथ बालक वर्ग 56 किलोग्राम में ओम कुमार ने रजत पदक, पुरूष सीनियर वर्ग 54 किलोग्राम में शिवा सिंह ध्रुव ने रजत पदक, 58 किलोग्राम वजन में पिंटू कश्यप ने रजत पदक, 62 किलोग्राम में टामेश कुमार ने कांस्य पदक और 66 किलोग्राम में शिवनारायण ने रजत पदक हासिल किया।
कलेक्टर श्री राहुल देव ने राष्ट्रीय रैंकिंग डार्ट चैंपियनशिप में उपविजेता रही सीमा निर्मलकर और शालिनी ध्रुव को 22 हजार रूपए की आर्थिक सहायता राशि प्रदान किया। वहीं संयुक्त कलेक्टर श्रीमती मेनका प्रधान और जनपद पंचायत लोरमी के मुख्य कार्यपालन अधिकारी श्री राजीव तिवारी ने भी खिलाड़ियों को सहायता राशि प्रदान किया। इस अवसर पर कलेक्टर ने कहा कि इन खिलाड़ियों ने राष्ट्रीय खेल में उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन करते हुए पदक हासिल कर जिले को गौरवांवित किया है। उन्होंने कहा कि मुख्यमंत्री श्री भूपेश बघेल की मंशानुरूप जिले में खेल व खिलाड़ियों को आगे बढ़ाने के लिए हर संभव प्रयास किया जा रहा है। उन्होंने खिलाड़ियों के उज्जवल भविष्य की कामना की और आगे भी होने वाले खेलों में खिलाड़ियों को स्पर्धा में भाग लेने व उत्कृष्ट प्रदर्शन हेतु हर संभव मदद का आश्वासन दिया। गौरतलब है कि राष्ट्रीय चेसबॉक्सिंग चैंपियनशिप 2022 में चयनित खिलाड़ी विश्वकप चेसबॉक्सिंग चैंपियनशिप में देश का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगे।

The players of the district, who won medals in the 10th National Chessboxing and 20th Darts Championship, reached the District Collectorate recently and met Collector Shri Rahul Dev and informed about their achievements in the sports competition. The collector appreciated the achievements of the players and conveyed his congratulations and best wishes to them. On this occasion, District Coordinator of Rajiv Yuva Mitan Club, Mr. Durga Baghel was present. Team in-charge and coach Mr. Subodh Singh, couple Kishore Singh Rajput and Itwari Kurre informed that the 10th National Chessboxing Tournament was organized from 09 to 11 September in Ahmedabad, Gujarat and 20th Darts Championship was organized in Goa from 15 to 18 September. In the 10th National Chessboxing Tournament, the players of Mungeli district performed brilliantly representing the team of Chhattisgarh and won a total of 10 medals including 02 gold medals, 07 silver medals and 01 bronze medal in the competition. At the same time, 04 players from Mungeli district participated in the 20th Darts Championship event, in which Seema Nirmalkar and Shalini Dhruv became the runners-up in the girls' youth category. Shalini Dhruv became the runner-up in the women's senior singles category.
In the 10th National Chessboxing event, Vidyanand Kashyap won silver medal in 35 kg cadet boys category from Chhattisgarh in Mungeli district, Aanchal Yadav gold medal in 35 kg cadet girl category, Savannah Nishad gold medal in 44 kg sub junior girls category, Nidhi Dhruv. Silver medal, Karan Kumar won silver medal in youth boys category 49 kg, Om Kumar silver medal in youth boys section 56 kg, Shiva Singh Dhruv silver medal in men's senior category 54 kg, Pintu Kashyap silver medal in 58 kg weight, Tamesh Kumar won bronze medal in 62kg and Shivnarine won silver medal in 66kg.
Collector Shri Rahul Dev provided financial assistance of Rs.22 thousand to Seema Nirmalkar and Shalini Dhruv, who were runners-up in the National Ranking Dart Championship. On the other hand, Joint Collector Smt. Maneka Pradhan and Chief Executive Officer of Janpad Panchayat Lormi Shri Rajiv Tiwari also provided assistance to the players. On this occasion, the Collector said that these players have made the district proud by winning medals while performing excellently in the national sports. He said that every effort was being made to promote sports and sportspersons in the district as per the wishes of Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He wished for the bright future of the players and assured all possible help to the players to participate in the competition and excel in the upcoming games. It is worth noting that the players selected in the National Chessboxing Championship 2022 will represent the country in the World Cup Chessboxing Championship.
